My Story…

Salista & I are excited to announce that we have officially registered to participate in this years Army Run together where we will run 5k side by side on September 22nd. This will be Salista’s first time running in any race & my second. Running the Army Run in 2013 was such an experience full of emotions & pride. Now that Dante is training as an infantryman with the Canadian Armed Forces, this race means even more to me & I can’t wait to share the experience of crossing that finish line (possibly crying 🤷🏻‍♀️) next to my daughter! Salista & I decided that not only would we run in hopes of beating our goal of 29min but to also help fundraise. So this is where you all come in ~ I’m asking my family & friends, to please donate in not only Dante’s honour but in every man & woman who is, has or will serve! STAND WITH US!

When a woman or man serves in the military, they make a sacrifice for our country. When a parent serves, it is the whole family that makes this sacrifice. A military family experiences frequent moves, lengthy absences and the risks of family members serving in physically and mentally demanding and dangerous situations. For these families, it can feel like they don’t have a consistent support system, their children struggle to connect to an ever changing peer group, and members may need assistance in their recovery and rehabilitation.

Support Our Troops, the official charitable cause of the Canadian Armed Forces, was established to meet the unique needs and challenges faced by members of the Canadian Armed Forces community as a result of their military service.

Support Our Troops funds two main programs: Family First and Soldier On.

Support Our Troops and Soldier On rely exclusively on the generosity of Canadians like you, corporate donations, signature and third party events, proceeds from sales, and CF Appreciation Nights.

Support Our Troops and Soldier On assisted over 2600 members and their families over the last year. Your help is needed as the demand in times of peace or conflict continues to grow.
