Join Alissa and friends for a weekend in the beautiful Rocky Mountains!
Whether you're looking for an active girls weekend, a solid training weekend for your summer races, a chance to improve your mountain running skills, or just to connect with an amazing community of women we can't wait to run with you! We are looking to create a fun, inclusive environment to help women connect and grow. We will be providing guided mountain runs in varied mountain terrain, a dietician designed menu to keep you fueled all weekend, instruction on mountain running skills and discussions covering various topics like nutrition, strength training and injury prevention, and race prep and training tips. All meals and two night group accommodation at the Shunda Creek Hostel in Nordegg is included.
We will have experienced guides to accommodate different skill levels but to get the most enjoyment out of your weekend it will be helpful to have some experience running on trails. This camp is geared to those with an interest in running ultra distances but race experience is not necessary. Please don't hesitate to email me if you have any questions or concerns!
You will arrive Friday evening for check in and welcome. We will get out for a short shake out run and then get together for a campfire happy hour. We will be up bright and early Saturday morning for a hearty breakfast and then spend the morning on a vert filled adventure with time for questions and technique instruction. We will be back for lunch and some down time plus some cross training instruction, conversation, and learning. After dinner we'll have a chance to get out for more running which we'll time just right to get some amazing sunset views and a chance to experience running in the mountains after dark. Sunday morning we'll have breakfast and pack up for our longest run of the weekend.
