Beginner Running Clinic Saturday February 16th 9:00 am to 11:00
9:00 - 9:30 registration and warm up
The beginner’s running clinic is geared towards all runners regardless of age and ability level. After the running clinic you will be equipped with the tools to run quicker, more efficient, and reduce the chances of common running injuries.
The running clinic will cover common topics such as the following:
-Proper running form focusing on ideal cadence, body position, and ground contact
-Correct breathing mechanics
-Running specific warm ups to prime the body before a run
-Preventative exercises and stretches to reduce common injuries

Justin Roeder
The clinic will be lead by Justin Roeder former Indiana High School Cross-Country State Champion. He graduated with his Bachelor’s degree in Exercises Science from Butler University in 2011. During his time there, he was a 4-time All-Region finisher in Cross-Country and Track, a 3-time Nationalist finalist in Cross Country, and multiple Conference title winner in Cross-Country and Track.
After graduation, Justin was selected as part of USA Triathlon’s Collegiate Recruitment/Olympic Development Program and was a resident-triathlete at the US Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs. He raced as a professional triathlete from 2011 through 2014. Justin holds certifications from USA Triathlon as a level 1 certified coach and has been coaching runners and triathletes since 2009.
Justin has held positions as Hamilton Southeastern High School swim club assistant coach and assistant men’s Cross Country and Track coach at the NCAA D1 level. Justin is currently the general manager of a local specialty retail shop Endurance House. In addition, Justin continues to coach junior and adult athletes in running and triathlon.
