My Story…
With the recent cuts to Autism funding by the Ontario government, people with autism have lost some of the vital services they need in order to develop to their full potential. Autism Speaks is an organization that does so much to support individuals with autism and their families. Including funding scientific research, financial support and providing useful resources to families. They have been a huge part in bringing autism awareness worldwide, especially in helping people without autism understand and accept individuals who do posses the neurological disorder. As a person who works with people with autism and other special needs on a regular basis, I get to see a-lot of what makes them special. However I do also get a small glimpse into the challenges they face on an everyday basis. On November 3rd I will be running the marathon in support of people with autism. Any donations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
