My Story…

This is an exciting time for me, and I am happy to share it with anyone willing to read this. I will be running a BQ marathon in November again this time, hopefully with no incident. I have chosen to raise money for McMaster Childrens Hospital Foundation. I cannot imagine what the families go through with their little ones there. If I can help make even a small difference I feel like I have accomplished something. Thank you for taking the time to read this, I appreciate it!!

Doesn’t the government provide the funding needed?

The government funds hospital salaries, operating costs and contributes to capital projects. Donors fund 100 per cent of the equipment used to diagnose, treat and care for patients – from replacing the most basic necessities to investing in sophisticated new technologies.

Why is my donation important?

Glance around any patient room or treatment area and you will see the impact of your donation. In addition to equipment, donors also support research programs, education for hospital staff and redevelopment.
