Fit for Girls is a free program that exists to improve the overall health and well-being of adolescent girls through training and completing a 5k race. Fit for Girls provides girls the opportunity to use commitment and hard work to build confidence, learn resiliency skills, and experience success as they cross the first of many literal and figurative finish lines! FFG is run by a volunteer group of women who know that the life of a middle school girl isn't easy, and want to give them a leg up...literally! Due to the generosity of our sponsors, like the Fair Oaks Sun Run, the girls in our program receive free race registration, a free official t-shirt, jump rope, key chain, and a special race medal. In middle school I didn’t recognize my areas of strength, and lacked confidence to pursue my ideas and dreams. Fit for Girls is on a mission to help girls who felt just like me.
