The Cannonsburg Cup is a fat bike race league for teams, individual male, and individual female participants. Fat Bike Racers competing in the Cannonsburg Cup race league will accumulate points every week for each race that they complete. 


At the end of the 6 week series, teams and individual racers in each category with the highest points total will be awarded the series championship. For the long division categories, a grand prize of FREE TACOS for the entire summer (max 2 per person per week)  will be awarded to the top team, top individual male, and top individual female competing in the league. Prizes will also be awarded to the top 3 finishers in each category. For the short division categories, awards will be given to the top 3 finishers in each category. 


Dates: Tuesday, Jan. 15th,  Jan. 22nd, Jan. 29th, Feb. 5th, Feb. 12th, Feb. 19th


Feb. 26th (inclimate weather make-up date) 


Cost: $60 per rider for the entire series (includes 6 timed races) or $85 (includes season trail pass to the fat bike trail)


Races will be held every Tuesday, starting January 15th, and will run for 6 consecutive weeks

The top 5 races (out of 6) will count towards the championship

The top 3 times for each team each night will count towards their points total 

Race #6 will earn 5 extra points per placement

The short race is 1 lap (approximately 2.5 miles)

The long race is 2 laps (approximately 5 miles)

There's a maximum of 5 riders per team

The entry fee is $60 per rider for the entire series, which includes 6 timed races. Racers have the option of paying $85 for the entire series which includes a season pass to the fat bike trail system.

Weekly drop-in rate is $15 and is available for individuals and teams

Founders beer specials will be in the bar each night

A day pass or season pass is needed to ride on the trails 

The course will be open for pre-riding at 4:30. Riders must start their time trial between 5:30 & 7:30

Nightly awards will be held in the Cedar Lounge at 8:30

Riders must be 18+


In the event of a series tie, the final race of the season will be the tie breaker. The rider/team with the best finish/score will win the tie.

Rules


Racers must ride a Fatbike to compete in the league. Fatbikes shall be defined as bikes with 3.7" or wider tires. 

E-Bikes are not allowed in the Cannonsburg Cup race league. Anyone found to be riding a motorized bicycle of any kind during a Cannonsburg Cup race will be disqualified and banned from participating in the cup. They will also be banned from tacos.
