History of Event -
In March of 2016 Councilman Ted Berry was sued by Pet Land Inc. for passing legislation to prevent the sale of puppy mill dogs in the City. The company personally sued the Councilman and the City of Grove City. After a significant lobbying effort by Pet Land the Ohio General Assembly passed legislation to overturn the Grove City Ordinance. Committed to the cause of finding forever homes for our rescues Councilman Berry hosts this annual event that has brought hundreds of families out.
In 2018 over 368 walkers and 157 dogs participated raising a total estimated $11,781.00. Over 3,400 lbs of dog food collected.
The event remains FREE, however, we ask for a donation of gas and pet store gift cards as well as NEW pet toys/beds/blankets and un open dry dog food.
BOOTH(S) - If you would like to set up a 10x10 booth (tent) for the event please email tedberry2014@yahoo.com. A limited number of booth spots will be available for FREE but must be approved
