YOU’RE INVITED TO THE
11th Annual RCAF Run
Where Feet Take Flight
Welcome to the Royal Canadian Air Force Run!
A proud component of the Canadian Armed Forces, the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) is comprised of men and women who serve Canada both at home and abroad. The Royal Canadian Air Force Run is a rare opportunity to experience both the camaraderie and aircraft that make the Royal Canadian Air Force unique. Hosted by 17 Wing Winnipeg, on 26 May 2019 the men and women of the Royal Canadian Air Force will lace up their sneakers and open their world to Canadians. Participants of the RCAF Run will enjoy the three timed races accredited by the Manitoba Runners’ Association, plus an untimed family event. Every event starts and finishes at the family orientated Race Village with an unmistakeable military theme.
What makes the Royal Canadian Air Force Run unique is the opportunity to interact with the men and women of the Royal Canadian Air Force as we run, plus the unique opportunity to run the flight line of 17 Wing Winnipeg past a variety of static aircraft. For those intent on hitting a personal best, once back at the Race Village there will be shuttles back to the flight line to ensure a leisurely tour of the static aircraft is possible.
For 2019, the Royal Canadian Air Force Run is proud to offer “all-in pricing” so the price you see is the price you pay. We are also proud of our “early bird” pricing offering value to those registering before 1 May 2019. In addition, we have broadened the student category and also created a school team category to ensure the youth of Canada can demonstrate their fitness alongside military members. Finally, the family event has a family friendly price.
All finishers will receive a unique 2019 medal with a reusable lanyard to reflect their specific event. Half Marathon, 10Km, and 5Km participants will also receive a high quality 2019 themed technical T-shirt plus a race bag.
Through sponsorship, individual donations, and prudent management, the Royal Canadian Air Force Run has proudly donated in excess of $200,000 to the Support Our Troops Fund since the Run’s inception.
Registration for 2019 will be capped at 2,100 participants so you are encouraged to register early.
