Join us for an awesome FREE day of snowshoeing in Echo Valley Provincial Park. This event includes guided tours by experienced snowshoers on groomed trails (snowshoes provided FREE), hot chocolate, and a roaring fire to stay warm and roast marshmallows. Additionally, experienced snowshoers may want to challenge themselves by taking part in a race. On this day there will also be two snowshoe races: A 3km flat trail or a very challenging 6K race with a couple of big climbs for those that want to push themselves. Of course if you just want to go for a hike, you can follow the marked trails or just go off exploring on your own.
Enter the park using the north entrance on the Pasqua Lake side. Event headquarters is at the TEEPEE Campground, which is very close to the park entrance.
The purpose of this event (aside from just getting outside and enjoying some fresh air) is to raise funds for the Echo Valley Trail Advisory Group (EVTAG) who assist the park with building, clearing, mapping and marking multi-use trails within the park so that everyone can enjoy them any time year round. Donations will be accepted to help us continue this work.
A BIG Thank You goes out to the great folks at Fresh Air Experience for providing snowshoes for the "Intro to Snowshoe" event.
