Raise money for Boyne Regional Library Renovation and Expansion Project

Help Raise money for Boyne Regional Library Renovation Project!

The Boyne Regional Library has run out of room!

The Renovation & Expansion Committee for the Boyne Regional Library in Carman has been hard at work raising funds to complete their vision of the expansion and renovation to the building, and the group is now closing in on their projected total needed to get shovels in the ground, hopefully, in 2019.

Phase 1 is a 1,700 square foot addition to the west of the Library and is the largest and most expensive portion of the project ($910,000). The add-on would change where the entrance to the building is, and where the Circulation desk, seating areas, meeting space and stacks are. That leads into Phase 2, an accessibility ramp where all patrons can enter the library safely using the same entrance ($160,000).  The final Phase 3 is the renovation of the existing circulation area ($200,000). That section was the original post office in town with beautiful south facing arched windows.  It is planned to become the much larger Children’s section of the library.

Currently they are only $25,000 away from reaching the Phase 1 goal and starting the expansion construction.
