The Women For Women originated back in 2003..... a community driven event. It’s energy and purpose is to bring awareness and funds to women in education, women in need, families and organizations. It’s popularity and growth has helped and supported 43 single mothers that have gone through the North Island College Foundation. A bursary application gave these women opportunity and education to complete their certificates, diplomas and degrees. While education is important, so is family and non profit organizations...The funds raised through a registration fee to complete the walk or run distance shares its wealth with 6 important charitable and educational causes....CR Young Parents Program, CR Womens Resource Centre, Robron Continuing Education and the Foundry....NEW for 2019 is Babies Best Chance. As the wheel of community connectedness continues, the Women For Women fundraiser is proud to support, help and include all that are in need.
