The Forgotten Marathon

Taking place on The Forgotten Trails; a series of four-season, back-country trails found near South River, Ontario, Canada. The marathon consists of three "loops". A single loop includes the following trails; Moose Mountain Trail, Loxton Beaver Trail and the Tower Trail. A single loop is roughly 17 KM in distance. The sum of three loops being 51 KM and achieving official "ultra marathon" length.  The trails are found in an unorganized township on crown land.  They receive maintenance twice a year.  They can be considered moderate to difficult terrain.  Each loop has a 6 hour time limit.
