On Saturday, August 3rd, 2019, Fire fitness in collaboration with the Arima Borough Council presents #weRUNArima: The Royal Race - a 5k walk/run race for the entire family.

The race kicks off the Arima Borough celebrations and aims to emphasize sport and health in the community.

The safe and scenic road route takes participants through some of the town's most prominent and historical landmarks in the heart of the Borough.

We have gifts for the first 150 persons registered as well as the largest group. 

All levels of participants are invited to walk or run for fun and will receive a medal, while cash and other attractive prizes are available for more competitive entrants.

Winners of each age category will be awarded record holder status, and your times will be recognized as the official race records.

Age groups are as follows (both male & female): 12 & under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+

The route begins at the Arima Velodrome and heads north towards Maharaj Wetside Supermarket; onto King Street. It follows along King Street all the way until De Gannes Street (passing along the Carib Community Centre and the Roman Catholic Church). The route continues with a right turn onto De Gannes Street, towards Pro Queen Street, making another right turn. Towards the end of Pro Queen Street, it passes the Arima Dial flowing into the heart of Arima's business district. The route then takes a left turn onto Subero Street (to Malabar). this is followed by a right turn at la Chance Street, then another right onto O'Meara Road. (O'meara road merges with Railway road). The route continues up Railway road, crossing the traffic light. It follows onto the second right corner (Anglican Street), then another right turn back onto King Street and ends at the Arima Velodrome's entrance.
