Our race is well known for our awesome volunteers!! No other 5K race has the number of energetic volunteers along the course cheering runners and walkers on like the Race to Stop Hunger. This is our 5th race and we have fed over 144,000 children with the proceeds from this race alone. Our volunteers keep our runners and walkers safe and wanting to come back for more each year! Time Frame: On Saturday, August 24th, 2019, plan on being at the race by 6:00 am if you are in Registration and 6:15 am if you are a Course Marshall or Bus Assistant or at Water Station, or Finish Line. You will be finished, depending on your position, by 9:15 am. Registration volunteers can be done earlier, however we usually have them set up and help at race food table when the race begins if they are available.
Volunteer Positions: Note that "requested " position may not end up being your "actual" position on day of event. Virgie will contact you closer to the event to confirm your volunteer position. Water station volunteers are typically a small group of people that want to be together.
Parking : Parking is across the street in the Bull Dog Restaurant parking lot. There is parking available in the train lot but will not be able to exit while race is going on.
Waiver: All participants need to fill out a waiver and will be given specific instructions for their volunteer position.
