Spread The Purple, Inc. founded in 2012, is a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Organization, that has strived to build a better future for the following communities: low to medium income families, unemployed, homelessness, and ex-offenders. Our purpose is to act as a community support system. If you are feeling overwhelmed by financial obligations, worried about your families health or well-being or stressed about an unexpected circumstance or situation – we can help you. We are here to help, guide and advocate underserved members of our community. We conservatively estimate that over our 7 years we have positively impacted the lives of more than 5,000 individuals and families. Spread the Purple is a 100% volunteer organization.

Spread The Purple is dedicated to providing guidance to both individuals and families for the right resources and assistance they can use during unexpected circumstance. 

5K Run/Walk For Warmth

“Run/Walk For Warmth” was developed to better support and improve medium income homeowners, who struggle to pay for oil, stay warm during the winter months. This program was created to combat the raising heating oil prices hitting a record level high this year, even as natural gas prices plunge. Eligibility requirements have tightened too, and with oil prices climbing. Unfortunately, the need is increasing, but the funding is no longer available for the medium income homeowners. Spread The Purple would be honored to gain backing from various resources, such as sponsors, partners, small business owners, and community to support this cause.

Spread The Purple plans to achieve these goals through partner support, fundraising, and community resources. Raising these funds and awareness is mainly achieved through our annual 5K Charity Race. Our annual goal remains the same each year since 2013. To better assist the middle working-class communities a combination of sponsors, donations, and community support will help us achieve a combined goal to raise $55,000 towards heating oil funds, over a period of 6 months to 66 families.
