The Stride is a community event that brings together students, parents, teachers, staff and neighborhoods. The focus is on health, wellness, community, and school spirit. Our goal is to promote a healthy and active lifestyle along with building partnerships and support for Littleton Public Schools.
If you are volunteering with an established school group, please proceed with registration.

Race Day Volunteers:
If you are volunteering on race day, please check in for your job at the time listed below at the VOLUNTEER TENT near the Littleton Museum at 6028 S. Gallup Street.
Student groups – please check in with your supervisor, and your supervisor will check in your entire group. Water station volunteers will meet at the time and location specified by their group supervisor.
Job Descriptions - Race Day (Sunday, October 27th)

Cheerleader | 7:30AM | 9:45AM | AHS, HHS & LHS Cheerleaders will cheer on participants at the start and finish lines. |
Cleanup/Breakdown | 9:30AM | 10:45AM | Volunteers will help clean up the race and expo areas at the end of the event. |
Course Marshal | 7:35AM | 9:45AM | Volunteers will assist in directing participants to the appropriate course as well as directing spectators as to when/where to safely cross the course (at designated areas). Those who are 18 and older may sign up for this position. (High school group volunteers, please register as a Jr Course Marshal.) |
Expo Support | 7:30AM | 10:00AM | Volunteers will set up and distribute food and beverages to participants at the end of the race in the Expo area. |
Finish Line | 8:00AM | 9:45AM | Volunteers will do one or more of the following jobs: Encourage participants across the finish line; maintain and pass out water to runners; assist with timing/scoring |
Fitness Stations | 7:30AM | 10:30AM | Assigned student group only. Volunteers will help with fitness stations in the Expo area. |
General | Varies | Varies | Volunteers will be assigned to various positions on or before race day. |
Jr Course Marshal | 7:35AM | 9:45AM | Volunteers will guide and cheer on participants along the race course. Volunteers will be placed in small groups and will stand in key locations throughout the course. |
Kids Fun Run Course Marshal | 8:45AM | 10:00AM | Volunteers will assist in directing participants around the Kids Fun Run course. The Kids Fun Run begins at 9:30 am. |
National Anthem | 7:30AM | 8:40AM | Assigned student group only. Volunteers will sing the National Anthem before the start of the 10K and 5K races. |
Registration | 6:40AM | 9:30AM | Volunteers will assist in the registration process including set up and the distribution of T-shirts and bib numbers to those who are registering on the day of the event. Volunteers will also distribute race materials to participants that have pre-registered. |
Water Station | 7:30AM | 9:45AM | Assigned student groups only. Volunteers will set up and maintain the course water stations for distribution to participants throughout the race. Volunteers will need to be in place at the water stations no later than 7:30 am. |

Early Packet Pick-up Friday , October 25 | 7:00AM | 7:30PM | Volunteers will greet participants and hand out race packets at Littleton Adventist Hospital. Shifts are from 7:00 am - 9:30 am, 9:00 am - 11:30 am, 11:00 am - 1:30 pm, 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm, 3:00 pm - 5:30 pm, and 5:00 pm - 7:30 pm. |
| prior to | Assigned student group only. Volunteers will walk the entire 5K and 10K course to distribute letters to each house on the front door. Volunteers will work in pairs. Letters will need to be distributed by Friday, October 19th. | |
