Why 22toZero?
22toZero started when approximately 22 Veterans and Active Duty Service Members were committing suicide EVERY DAY- that meant 8,030 lives were gone EVERY year. While the number has slightly dropped over the years to 20 per day- we still have much work to accomplish.
Our goal is simple…

Connect Veterans in our community.
Raise funds to support our local Veterans in need.
For those that joined us for the 2017 walk, you participated in raising money for The Sacred Soil Project and may have even met it's founder, Tina Reason.
Veterans Events Tally and Sacred Soil have joined forces over the past two years to be able to provide much more needed resources and support for our local Veterans. 100% of the funds from the walk will go directly to the VET, Inc.-Sacred Soil project to support our local Veterans.
Veteran Events Tallahassee community outreach project, Sacred Soil is a mobile, grass-roots program with the mission to reduce the number of Veterans experiencing homelessness in the Tallahassee area by creating authentic relationships with people living on the streets, homeless camps and Veteran housing complexes. We provide support through the distribution of food, access to community resources, other comforts and encouraging words.
Please join us for a day to honor America's Veterans and give back to our local community.

Event Details and Schedule
Korean War Memorial @ Cascade's Park
7:45 AM- Registration and Shirt pick up
8:30 AM- Step-off for 2 Mile Walk
Directly following the 2 Miles- Step-off for remaining 20 miles. Route runs south on Monroe Street to the St. Marks Trail ending in the town of St. Marks, Florida @ St. Marks River Park 180 River Breeze Street St. Marks, FL 32355.
Approx. 12:00 PM- Lunch on the Trail @ Boundless Park. Lunch will be available until the last participant has passed.
Approx. 2:00 PM- 4:00 PM- Participants arrive at St. Marks River Park
End of Walk Celebration at St. Marks River Park (Dinner, Live Band, Cold Beer)
Water Stops are provided every couple miles along the route.
How to collect pledges: The easiest way to collect pledge money is to share your race roster account with friends and family on social media! Simply use the link and all funds donated will be credited to your roster. You may also collect donation and deliver the day of the walk- ALL checks will need to be made payable to Veteran Events Tallahassee.

While cheering on the 22 Mile Participants arrival, enjoy food and live entertainment. Beer will be available for a donation and those not walking are encouraged to bring a lawn chair.
All transactions will be CASH only.
End of Event Transportation back to Cascade's Park
We encourage you to invite your friends and family to join you at St. Marks River Park, even if they are not participating in the march. If you need transportation back to Cascade's Park it is included with your registration fee.
