Great volunteers help make great races and memorable events. Volunteers bring the added fun and energy to make the Tukee Trot a genuine Ahwatukee community tradition by representing the helpful spirit in supporting participants as they move along the course.
Sample volunteer activities include:
Water Station/Cheer Squad – prepare and hand-out water/Gatorade in cups
Course Guides and Cheer Squad – Guide runners at key course junctions
Finish Line Support/Post-Race Refreshment Squad – cheer, congratulate and guide runners/walkers from finish line to post-race refreshments
Kids Quail Fun Run, ages 11 and below (including parents), 1 mile around Vista Canyon Park. Join, cheer and guide the little people along the way
Post-race Clean-Up Walking Squads – Walk sections of the course and DV parking lot so we leave the course areas as good or better than it was before
On Race Day
We value your time and don't want to waste it. We ask that you arrive 1 hour, 30 minutes before the start of race at 7:00 AM (participants will start arriving 1 hour before race time).
Up until race time we organize the support activities into squads and will ask you to help with getting the event area prepared and with participant check-in.
15 minutes prior to the start of the event we will send you to your assigned stations, which may be water stations or finish line support.
Please anticipate being at the event approximately 4 hours total.
The week of the event you will receive an email from us with final details of the event. We will ask that you respond to that email to confirm your intention to still attend the event.
If there are any questions that you have before race day please do not hesitate to let us know. Please email us at email@example.com
