Help Amanda raise money

For participating in Christie Clinic Illinois Marathon Race Weekend 2020

My Story…

Hello! I'm Amanda and this is my 3rd year running in an Illinois Marathon event. I ran the half marathon in 2018 and 2019, but this year I am going to run the full marathon- 26.2 miles. I chose to support the Champaign County Humane Society because I truly believe these animals deserve the best quality of care we can possibly provide. I have been on the Medical Care Staff since August 2017 and have been the Medical Lab Supervisor since September 2018. Your donations allow us to provide excellent care and love during their stay at CCHS until they find their forever homes. On a more personal note, CCHS has brought several of my special pets into my life. Of my 4 dogs, 7 cats, 2 guinea pigs, and 1 horse, two of my dogs and three of my cats have come from the Humane Society: Ranger, Treble, Hamlet, Olivander, and Minnie. 3 of which required extensive care and treatment from bottle feeding to limb amputations. Please consider donating to help the animals!

Description

Welcome to the Champaign County Humane Society's Run/Walk for Homeless Animals Fundraising Campaign as part of the 2020 Illinois Marathon!

Our fundraising goal as an Illinois Marathon Charity Running Partner is $10,000. This amount funds the entire shelter for FOUR DAYS.

The Champaign County Humane Society is the only open-admission shelter in our area. Being open-admission means that we accept animals despite their age, medical condition, and adoptability.

As an independent charitable organization, CCHS's name reflects our geographic location only. We are not a county agency, and we are not supported by tax dollars. We are not affiliated with any national animal welfare organization.

Can you support the homeless animals in Champaign County by donating to and/or fundraising for our shelter? With support from people like you, CCHS was able to help 1,340 homeless animals find their "furever" homes in 2019.

You can find out more about the Champaign County Humane Society on our website at cuhumane.org. Call the shelter at 217-344-7297 if you have further questions.

Every furry friend deserves a chance for a lifetime of love. Together we can make a difference!
