My Story…
My work volunteered at Brown bagging and after the stories I heard about kids going to school without a lunch it broke my heart !
Having kids of my own I couldn’t even imagine them going to school without a meal.
I wanted to help out even more by raising money for such an amazing program, I have never ran an ultra so I thought this would be a good challenge for an amazing cause.

Description
As a nation, we have more than enough for food everyone, yet household food insecurity affects 1 in 6 Canadian children. This means that 1 in 6 children do not know where their next meal is coming from.
Our lunch programs currently support students in 230+ public, Catholic, and private schools and feed kids from Kindergarten to Grade twelve. If a child arrives at school without access to an adequate, healthy lunch we make sure they are fed. It's that simple. Over 4,500 lunches are made and delivered daily to Calgary and area schools, and this number grows every day. In the past 36-months, the number of kids fed through our programs has more than doubled.
Help us reach our goal: no hungry kids in Calgary.
