My Story…
On 3.20.19, I dropped my family off at the airport. I was not feeling well so they told me to take the day off; I told them that I had too much to do. I never made it to the office. Instead, I went to the ER; they did not know. DVT, multiple embolisms, AFIB, and stretched out heart.....one year later, about 20 pounds lighter and training for the Pittsburgh (now virtual) Marathon.
Now more than ever, I need your help by being one of 1,000 people to sponsor me in my virtual marathon with a donation of $25 to support the Veterans Leadership Program. Many of their fundraising events have had to be canceled because of recent events. Many of the veterans that they support are in high-risk categories and depend on their services.
May 3rd I will put my feet on the earth and somehow carve out 26.2 miles for my virtual Pittsburgh Marathon to support the Veterans Leadership Program while keeping my physical distance....I hope that my social distance decreases.

The mission of Veterans Leadership Program of Western Pennsylvania is to provide essential housing, employment, and vital supportive services to eligible local Veterans, service members, and their families with the goal of improving their self-sufficiency, sustainability, and quality of life.
