Help Emily raise money

For participating in 2020 DICK'S Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon Weekend

My Story…

I’m running my first 26.2 this spring for the Parkinson Foundation! My dad is a marathoner, and was diagnosed a few years ago. All donations go to our local chapter, which is an invaluable resource to my family. A few commonalities between marathoning and Parkinson’s: You’re stiff. And tired. And achy. You’ve been feeling kind of dizzy, and you’re starting to wonder who signed you up for this sh*t. But you refuse to stop, refuse to back down, refuse to quit. So with tenacity and perseverance, you keep moving forward. Defeat is not an option. Running is actually a treatment for Parkinson’s. Knowing this, my dad laces up his shoes and tackles a few miles every day. Even when he’s stiff. Even when the weather sucks. Every morning, he stares Parkinson’s in the face, and tells it that it’s messing with the wrong guy. On my hardest days of training, I’ll remember this, and I’ll carry it all the way to the finish line. So please, donate for Don, and let’s kick Parkinson’s ass! .
