My Story…
Hi! My name is Alyssa Kearns, and I am running the Pittsburgh Marathon this year to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation! I have been a part of the Run to Cure CF Team for 2 years, and I am constantly amazed at the work they do to help cure CF. The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF) funds research for treatments, research for medications, outreach to the community, and much more. If you're not familiar, CF is a genetic disease that affects mostly the respiratory and digestive systems. Treatment for CF requires many patients to spend hours a day on breathing treatments, taking pills, and doing exercises to facilitate breathing. Our team is looking to raise money to find better treatments and find a cure. Please help us add more tomorrows!

The mission of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is to cure cystic fibrosis and to provide all people with the disease the opportunity to lead full, productive lives by funding research and drug development, promoting individualized treatment, and ensuring access to high-quality, specialized care.
