My Story…
I’m running the marathon in May! That’s right, the full 26.2 miles this time!! Once again I’m making it count. I am fundraising for the JDRF. I was so grateful for all the donations last time. Please consider donating once again, or for the first time. Help us fight for a cure. Type 1 needs to be type none. Praying one day Isaiah and everyone can all say “ I HAD type 1 diabetes.”
My youngest son Isaiah was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in April of 2015. He was just a little over 2yrs old. That was one of the scariest days of my life! His life since then requires daily finger pricks, glucose monitors, insulin pumps, carbs counted, and so much more. In addition to waves of pain and emotion that come with the high & low blood sugars - things no child should have to worry about. I’m running for Isaiah. I’m running for my sister in law Gretchen.
