Hi friends! I am a sonographer working in both the cardiac and general ultrasound labs here in Victoria and a big part of my job is working with cancer patients at various stages of their diagnosis and treatment. Working in healthcare has changed my perspective in many areas of life including my own health which is why I initially wanted to challenge myself by training for a race. I chose to sign up for The Goddess Run because of their partnership with BC Cancer. Cancer patients are facing massive health challenges but somehow still manage to be the funniest, sweetest, most grateful and inspiring people who are often so relatable that they remind me of my own family and friends. This is a tough time for all and these patients need our help. Your donation will specifically assist the clinical trials of ATC therapy which will focus on treating gynecological cancers with the patient’s own naturally occurring, tumour-fighting T cells.
