Description
We are a non-profit organization that facilitates structured recreation and social club programs for kids and youth with autism/ASD (and others who need additional supports) operating in the Halifax Regional Municipality. Working with families to identify priority goals, the team will provide structured environments and integrated evidence-based programming to develop the following: functional & interactive play skills, recreation & leisure skills, functional communication skills, social emotional regulation, listening and following group instructions, gross and fine motor skills, problem solving skills and social communication skills. We currently run an after school program in 4 locations around HRM as well as a March Break and Summer program. Our focus is on the interests of our participants which our incorporated into our program to ensure everyone is having fun while learning necessary fundamental movement skills to stay healthy, be active and to support mental health.
