Spokane Valley Cycle Celebration
The annual Spokane Valley Cycle Celebration presented by Valleyfest is set for Sunday, July 26 at Mirabeau Point Park. The bicycle tour of Spokane Valley has been a community fixture since it began in 2013 and is a great way to explore what our area has to offer.
Less experienced cyclists can pick the 10-mile route while more experienced riders can choose between 25- and 50-mile rides. All rides begin and end at the North Centennial Trailhead across from Mirabeau Point Park at 13500 E. Mirabeau Parkway. Parking is available immediately west of the park.
The 50-mile “Hills Around the Valley” ride, which loops as far north as Mead and includes a few challenging hills, begins at 8 a.m. The 25-mile “Adventure Ride” runs mostly south of Spokane Valley and kicks off at 9 a.m. The 10-mile “Family Friendly” ride is an easy route that follows the Centennial Trail to the Barker Trailhead and back, offering great scenic views of the Spokane River. It starts at 9:30 a.m.
All bike rides start at the North Centennial Trail Head across from Mirabeau Point Park at 13500 E. Mirabeau Parkway, Spokane Valley, WA.

***Dear Cyclist,
We know you are eager to be on your bicycle with other cyclists nearby for your mental health as well as your physical health. We hope you will choose the Cycle Celebration event on Sunday, July 26 to kickstart your 2020 season. You must register by July 12, 2020 to receive a t-shirt. If the Health District determines that we have to cancel the event, the decision will be made by July 13th. We will not reschedule the event for 2020.
The safety of our riders, volunteers and sponsors is our No. 1 priority in these uncertain times. We are taking every step possible to protect everyone involved with Cycle Celebration. We remain in contact and will follow all the guidelines recommended by the Spokane County Health District to be socially responsible while ensuring you have a good time. Below are some of the ways we are working on making the event and you safe:
- Departure: we will be sending small groups off throughout the morning to promote social distancing
- All riders are encouraged to wear masks at the start; upon starting the ride, riders should doff their masks and have them around their neck so they can be donned when at the aid stations
- All volunteers will wear masks and gloves
- Hand sanitizer will be available at the start, finish and at the rest stops
- Only bottled water and packaged snacks will be available
- Registration closes at midnight on July 25th
- T-shirts will be available for pick-up after the ride has been finished; prolonged gatherings (>15 minutes) of participants will be discouraged
- Your sack lunch will be distributed in conjunction with Health Department guidelines
- In the event we cancel the event, your registration can be rolled over to 2021, donated, or refunded. Donations will go to the Valleyfest Children’s Foundation.
Thank you for your support and understanding as we all navigate through these unprecedented times. Our goal, as it has been for the previous seven years, is to provide friends and family the opportunity for an enjoyable bike ride through the scenic Spokane Valley. It would be impossible without your support.
Thank you and be safe,
Cycle Celebration committee.
