Back in 2012, my significant other at the time was deployed to Afghanistan, and I was a dietetic intern leaning on running many miles as a coping mechanism. I went back home to Gig Harbor to visit family and found this race, my family has been involved with this organization ever since and I hope you'll become as passionate about their cause as we are!
