New to the Canaqua Sports Open Water Swim Series for 2020

After 5 years at Innisfil Beach, Canaqua Sports is pleased to announce that we have moved our event to Barrie Ontario. The race will be held at the Barrie Canoe and Kayak Club on the south end of Kempenfelt Bay. We are very excited about our new location and invite all to join us on July 12.


Distances 1K, 3K, 5K

The race itself will take place at the Canoe and kayak club using a 1 K rectangular course where swimmers will complete 1, 3, or 5 laps depending on their chosen distance.

Location: 205 Lakeshore Dr, Barrie, ON L4N 7Y9

Check-in: 7:30 - 8:30 AM at the Canaqua Sports tent onsite

Race Start Time 9:00 AM

Facilities & Food:

  • Washrooms will be available
  • Food will be provided

Race Details:

  • Swim caps will be provided for each swimmer and MUST BE WORN for identification purposes during the race
  • A number will be inked on upper back/shoulder of each participant
  • Water temperature at this time of year ranges between 68 – 72 degrees Fahrenheit
  • There will not be a "rain date" and a delay (or cancellation) would only occur in the event of lightning
