Volunteer for this event
PLEASE NOTE: You may be asked to manage a few tasks during the event as some of the positions are time specific. For example, some of the registration volunteers, once that is completed, move over to the Runt Run and give out their medals and goodies, or bike the course.
THANK YOU for volunteering for Moose Jawg Charity Road Race.
YOU help make this event a success for all; the race wouldn’t happen without great volunteers like you.
Please pick up your shirt and breakfast ticket at race package pickup June 30 between 1-5pm. The location is the Wakamow Valley Pavillion. Due to popular demand from our volunteers, you will be getting a technical shirt just like the runners! A cooler material for our consistently hot weather! Knock on wood :)
6:30 to 8 a.m.
Volunteers hand out race packages, shirts, take payments and complete the registration process.
They ensure everyone is registered efficiently and may be asked questions by the runners/participants about the event.
6:30 to 7:30 a.m. - 3 volunteers will be needed at the Skating Oval to help direct and control traffic until the parking lot closes. This is the first lot to close.
One Volunteer will be needed at the top of the hill by the Wakamow Heights Bed & Breakfast beginning at 7:30 a.m. until the end of the race to ensure no traffic is able to get on the race course.
6:30 a.m. until parking lot is full– 6-8 volunteers will be needed at each of the Home Street and Burger Cabin parking areas to help direct and control traffic.
Home Street is the busiest parking area and safety is our number one priority.
8:00 to 10:30 a.m.
3 Bikers to ride the route while the event is in progress and ensure the safety of the runners
These volunteers will also be asked to help give out goodies to the Runt Runners at 8:15am- medals, etc
8:00 to 10:00 a.m.
You will be placed in strategic locations along the course and are able to cheer on the runners as they go by.
Ensure runners stay on course in order to finish the run completely.
An important job that will require a loud voice, enthusiasm and high energy.
