This is a trail event consisting of a 7K (one loop) or 14K (two loops) combining the T.O. Fuller Discovery Trail with the Chucalissa Trail. Proceeds will be shared between the Park and MRTC. The race will have a common start/finish line and will be electronically timed with the start being near the clubhouse and interpretive center. The course will be marked mainly with flags on your left with a few MRTC cones.
Useless information: The course runs downhill on asphalt for .2 mile before entering the trail and remember what goes down must go up. The course has six sections marked with a blue, red, purple, orange, yellow, and white post. You will cross the street six times (which you probably won’t mind because it’s the only flat part of the course, and it’s short). And because we do run across the road, please be patient when you leave or better yet just stay and have fun with us.
Useful information: Absolutely no pets on the course except snakes and your snake must be on a leash because it will probably meet some off-leash snakes. Absolutely no earbuds or any other device that will restrict your hearing. Please use outstanding runner etiquette! Also, use situational awareness and please slow runners let faster runners have the right of way. If you signed up for 2 loops and 1 turns out to be enough (it happens to us all), DO NOT cross the finish line. Remember, the goal is to have a good time, raise a little ca$h for the Park, and bring awareness to T.O. Fuller State Park and Chucalissa. Please sign up and let this event be your Dreamcatcher.
