VON Great Community Run, Walk 'n' Roll & NEW Kids' Trail Runs
The Victorian Order of Nurses (VON) is the only national, not-for-profit, charitable home and community care organization in Canada. Our nurses, therapists and other health care providers care for Canadians in their own homes. We offer more than 75 home care, personal support, and community services designed to help people of all ages to get healthy and stay healthy. Our team of more than 5,000 staff and 9,000 volunteers serves Canadians in more than 1,200 communities across our country.
We believe that all people have the right to quality health care regardless of their ability to pay. As a registered charity, we direct donations into funding services helping people.
We strive to build healthy communities — one person at a time.
Your support to the 2020 VON Great Community Run, Walk 'N' Roll will help provide local support, ensuring that programs and services are available to those who need them most.
Funds raised from this event will help provide subsidies for those in need of transportation assistance to medical appointments and nutrition support through meal programs.
Additionally VON fundraising provides equipment for our clinics and home care nursing as well as education and training to ensure our staff continue to provide the highest quality of care and support.
Please plan to join us this year for the Run, Walk 'n' Roll at the event, or virtually from where you are or our new Kids' Trail Runs through Lions Park in Mt. Brydges.
Although we've had to postpone this event, the need for quality health care and social support services continues to increase within our community. We hope to run this event in September and hope that we are able to once again gather in groups to support our community. Should we not be able to gather in person, we will make this a virtual event...stay tuned.
Also new this year, you can participate and share your support through our VON SMART program challenge. (Contact our SMART staff for more information: 519-659-2237 ext. 22267)
We look forward to an exciting day of activity and family fun in support of community health!
