DO SOMETHING EXTRA - RUN OR BIKE FOR DOWN SYNDROME!
In honor of the third copy of the twenty-first chromosome, the Down Syndrome Association of Greater St. Louis invites you to run a virtual 3.21 miles (a 5K plus a little extra!), 10K or ride 21 miles to support the Down Syndrome Association. Run for 21 celebrates the amazing lives of people with Down syndrome. The race was moved to June to coincide with our largest celebration of the year – Step Up for Down Syndrome. All proceeds will benefit the Down Syndrome Association of Greater St. Louis!
Due to the current social distnacing measures, this event is now a virtual event that ties into at the DSAGSL’s largest celebration of the year Step Up for Down Syndrome (SUDS), which is now a virtual event as well. Virtual Race amenities include a race shirt, finisher medal, and entry into the Step Up for Down Syndrome Celebration, plus virtual results managed by Fleet Feet.
Participants must register by May 14th in order to guarantee they receive a shirt, and shirts will be available at our June 3 and June 4th packet pickup, or you can pay $7 to have your shirt mailed to you.
The race will officially take place on June 7th, but if you can't run with us on June 7th, you can submit your time between Friday, June 5th through Sunday, June 8th, with results becoming official on Monday, June 9th. All participants will receive an email with instructions on how to submit their times on race week.
How it Works
- Put on your race shirt and running/cycling gear
- Run/ Bike anywhere you would like.
- Upload your time and a photo (if you choose) through your fleet feet registration page
- Celebrate your accomplishments by joining our Step Up for Down Syndrome Virtual Celebration complete with games, music, and lots of fun!

Awards
Finisher Medals for all participants.
Awards will be presented to the top 3 overall
and top 3 in the following male and female age groups:
12 and under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and over.
Awards will be available for pickup at the DSAGSL office after the event, and all award winners will be contacted after results are final.
