Community involvement has been an integral part of my life since elementary school, which began with my first volunteer experience through a local safety patrol program. Since then, I have rappelled down a 17-storey office building, supported dozens of campaigns and events for various organizations, and held multiple roles in the local amateur sports community. Previously, I have served as Chair of Kids Help Phone's National Youth Council and led a presentation for over 16,000 youth and educators at WE Day. I also moderated a keynote panel at a national campus mental health conference. This Summer, I established my foundation, the Ben Sabic Foundation with three principal pillars: education, women in sport, and youth mental health. This not-for-profit organization's three pillars will guide it when engaging in philanthropic initiatives that benefit Canadians from all walks of life across the country. You can learn more about me at bensabic.ca and my foundation at bensabic.org.
