Quarry Hill Run Wild 5K Virtual Trail Run and Wild Child Dash 2020

Nature is something we can all share right now. At Quarry Hill Nature Center, we’ve always believed this, but now more than ever, connecting the community to nature and providing access to outdoor recreation matters. Our Run Wild 5K and Wild Child Dash has been a source of support for this mission and although we can't do it together this year, we still need you to join us in continuing the tradition of running into the wild!

This year, the Quarry Hill 5K and Wild Child Dash is going asynchronous. Go the Distance for Quarry Hill on our trails (or not), on your own schedule, at a safe distance from others. Either alone or with your family, you can hit the trails, connect with nature, and have a little fun along the way.

All race proceeds support Quarry Hill - your community nature center.

DATE: Anytime between May 26 – July 26.
Run, walk, hike, hop, skip, jump or go wild and do a combination!

PLACE: Log 3.1 miles whenever you want, wherever you want and however you want. Submit your results to us …or not (this is your chance to say you completed a 5K without judgement!) #RunWild5K

If you are missing Quarry Hill Park & Nature Center:

Our typical Run Wild 5K Course will be marked at Quarry Hill for you to follow while you complete your individual race. The trail will include a designated start and finish line where you can snap a selfie and share your support for Quarry Hill: #RunWild5K

Kids are encouraged to join in. Our typical 1K Wild Child Dash course will be marked at Quarry Hill if you'd like to stage your child's race with your family cheering him/her through to the finish line! Photo finish images welcome at #QuarryHillWildChildDash

SWAG PARADE/ RACE PACKET PICK UP, June 21:
Although the run is virtual, what fun would it be if we didn’t see each other? Register by June 19 to join in the Swag Parade.
Join in the fun on June 21 from 5- 8 pm at our drive-thru swag/packet pick up parade. The kids will love it and what adult doesn’t need a cheerleader right now?! Bring the whole family, stay in your car (decorate it if you want to), and drive through our parade route in the Quarry Hill parking lot. Be sure to roll down your windows so you can hear the cheering and music. Swag will be packaged just hold up a sign with your name and we will place it in your trunk for you. A reminder email with all the safety instructions will come your way the week before the parade.

RACE PACKET/SWAG PICK UP, July 28:
Participants who register between June 20 - July 26, can pick up swag on July 28 from 5 - 6:30 pm. Detailed instructions for curbside pick up will be emailed to you prior to the pick up date.

POST-RACE PARTY: We know you are good-natured people who enjoy a celebration! Pick your favorite spot to treat yourself after you cross the finish line - your backyard, your favorite park, or your favorite spot at Quarry Hill park! Post to our Facebook or #RunWild5K and we'll give you a hearty cheer!

REFUND POLICY: In the event that you are unable to complete your individual race or pick up your race packet, we are unable to offer a refund.
