MOUNTAIN VIEW RELAY

We have heard the cries for “group” activities following a cancelled race season, and ask and you shall receive!

Introducing the MOUNTAIN VIEW RELAY!!

What: A FREE virtual team relay covering 25km!

Where: Wherever you please; road, trail, treadmill…etc. Just make sure you are abiding to the social distancing rules set in place by the Government. This applies to all of our members, no matter where you are in the world!

When: Any time between SATURDAY MAY 30-MONDAY JUNE 1ST. Results MUST be submitted by 9pm on TUESDAY JUNE 2ND with results posted in the days to follow. To submit your time, simply take a screen shot of your run on whatever your preferred app is and send it to mountainviewrunners@gmail.com. Please include your team name and your leg in the subject line.

BONUS POINTS! Do any combination of the following for a maximum total of TWO MINUTE deduction for your team.

- Complete a “world litter run” at some time over the course of the event weekend and submit your photo (15 seconds per teammate for a maximum of ONE MINUTE deduction)

-Team Race bibs (30 Second deduction)

-GET A PB, GET A FREEBIE! (15 second deduction for your team PER PB for anyone who rocks a Personal best!)

-GET THAT MOUNTAIN VIEW! (30 second deduction for the team with the most accumulative elevation gain for their runs)

-TEAM FLAIR!!! Think costumes, socially distanced water stations, etc. Be creative!! (1 minute deduction!)

Please note, this is just as much for the people who want to try and get a personal best as it is for the people who are looking to “keep fit and have fun”! This means you can run fast, or run an easy run and tag it for this event. Whatever works for you and the day of. ALL THAT WE ASK IS THAT YOU ARE HONEST IN SUBMITTING YOUR TARGET PACE FOR THE DAY OF. This will allow us to divide up MVR members into teams of EQUAL OPPORTUNITY and no one team will be at a pace advantage or disadvantage to another.

DEADLINE FOR REGISTRATION IS 10PM ON SATURDAY, MAY 23RD.

Once all the names have been submitted your admins will announce the teams on MONDAY, MAY 25TH. Our goal is to evenly divide effort, have members meet new members, and encourage team spirit!
