Mighty Mississippi Virtual Relay!
Starting July 15th

Form your team, or join ours, and join us as we (virtually) traverse the length of the Mississippi River. You and a team will work together to RIDE OR RUN the length of the Mighty Mississippi. Are you up for the challenge?


Say What?

Yeah, you read that right. Ride or Run 2,186 miles—the length of the 2nd longest river in North America. The Mississippi River starts in Minnesota and winds it's way South to New Orleans, LA. The largest river in the Untied States passes historic cities such as St. Louis, MO, Memphis, TN, Baton Rouge, LA, and many others as it cuts through the center of the continental United States. It all starts July 15.

How does it work?

RIDE DETAILS: In a team of up to 6, RIDE your bike the length of the Mississippi River. Team members will work together to accumulate 2,186 miles in 30 days. 364.33 miles per person, or 12.15 miles a day. Sounds easy, right?


RUN DETAILS: In a team of up to 12, RUN the length of the Mississippi River. Your 12 person team will work together to accumulate 2,186 miles in 60 days. 182.17 miles per person or 3.04 miles a day. Ain't no thang, right?


Here's a few important side notes:

  • Team members can all run or ride at once. All activities are synced from Strava to Challenge Hound.
  • Your FREE Strava account can sync with almost any GPS tracking device or app.
  • Want to participate but don't have a team? Sign up for our Open Team and we'll place you on one.
  • No minimums or maximum distance for each team member, just complete the distance.
  • Any ride or run counts—indoor or outdoor!
