Firebolt 5k
Things may look a little different in 2020 but there is still mischief and magic to be had.
Join us for the 3rd Annual Firebolt 5k and Race of 100 Harrys. This year the magic happens where you are. That's right- we are going Virtual.
Will you still get a cool house t-shirt? Yes
Will you still get the second part of our 4 part medal? Yes
Will you pick your course, day, and time to run? Yes
The virtual run is a new concept to us, like many things are in 2020, we ask for your patience as we fit all the pieces together. For now this is our hope:
1) Each of you will register for the Firebolt 5k or Race of 100 Harrys by July 31st, 2020
3) In September you will receive a package in the mail with your house t-shirt, cool finisher's medal and maybe a few other swag items.
4) On Saturday, September 26th - hit the road in your house colors and upload your pics to our social media page. The 4th Saturday in September has been such a magical day for attendees of the Queen City Mischief and Magic in Staunton, Va. While 2020- the year that shall not be named- cancelled the festival we all love, at least we can at least 5k together (separately) to celebrate our love for all things Potter.
5) Upload your run/walk time. More details to come. (this will help determine the winning house and medal design for next year)
Let's talk Medals:
In 2019 we unveiled a 4 part medal. Each piece would represent a Hogwarts House and they will magnet together to create the full Hogwarts Crest. We polled participants last year and they voted for Gryffindor to be the first house represented. Ravenclaw pulled out the win at the 2019 race and secured their spot as the 2020 Medal.
***If you did not participate in the 2019 race but would like to purchase the 2019 medal so you may do so during registration. Limited quantities available***
Race of 100 Harrys
This is typically a one mile walk/run for children 12 and under. Race of 100 Harrys' finishers also get their own tshirt (children's sizes only), wizard glasses, lightning bolt tattoo and cool finisher's medal. The 2020 Race of 100 Harrys' medal is our favorite design, yet. Stay tuned for the unveiling!
