Thursday Evening July 16th 7pm at Northview Church in Carmel
There's an old, mostly forgotten, summer running tradition where runners gather at a track or a loop somewhere, after the sun dips behind the tree tops, to see how many laps they can do in 60 minutes.
We're bringing the tradition back! Iwant2run's Hour Run at Northview Church at 7pm on July 16th
The loop will be on pavement
(not the cross country course this time)
Utilizing some of the drives on the Northview property. The length of the loop will be 1/2, 3/4, or 1 mile,
depending on how many runners sign up. We want to keep the loop as short as we can without it being too crowded.
This is a great chance to help reboot a running tradition,
and a good way to get some unique training in... set a distance goal and watch the laps stack up as the clock counts down.
( times for each completed loop )
It's going to be a lot of fun and a great way to run with your running buddies with different paces.
After the hour is up, compare notes and lap counts with your fellow runners... grab a lawn chair from the trunk and hang out a while
(in socially distant circles please).
You may even want to bring a cooler with something to help you cool off, re-hydrate, and put some carbs back in.
