General Information

In our first ever walk/run, Students Without Mothers brings you a dynamic virtual event in our efforts to support students in their pursuit of a higher education. Your registration will help in our efforts to continue to provide scholarship funds, life coaching, grief counseling and other resources for students who have lost their mothers. Join us as we raise money to send students to college. To reach ten million steps for education, we encourage all registrants to run/walk five miles. Gather friends and family in your quarantine circle, or pledge to walk with your friends from a distance! The top fundraising teams will receive a spot in a special newsletter to our constituents.

Race Details

Your $35 required donation fee includes a race t-shirt, access to the RunKeeper app and online leaderboard, and a virtual finisher's certificate. We encourage you to walk/run five miles on your favorite nature trail or neighborhood sidewalk during the two week period of October 12-24, 2020. Share photos of your walk/run with #10millionstepsforeducation and #studentswithoutmothers to join with members of your community.

At checkout, you will have the opportunity to select the appropriate t-shirt size. You must register by September 28, 2020 to receive a t-shirt with your registration. Your t-shirt will be mailed to you by October 12. You may opt out of receiving a t-shirt, but a donation of $35 is still required to register. After September 28, there will be a limited quantity of t-shirts available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

You may also submit an additional donation on top of the donation amount required to register, or submit a donation in lieu of registering for the event.

Once you complete your walk/run, you can submit your results manually on our leaderboard or report directly through the RunKeeper app. After submitting your results, you will be prompted to download and print your custom finisher's certificate.
