Registration Details
- Registration Deadline October 18, 2020 - $75.00
- Hosted by Moncton CrossFit through the New Brunswick Weightlifting Association.
- Registration for NBWA members will be open for ONE week, before Invitations to Atlantic Bubble Associations are invited to register.
Rules
- The latest IWF rules will govern the competition.
- Athletes, Coaches, Officials must be members in Good Standing with NBWA or their provincial body.

Refund Policy:
Due to logistics and cost to organizing a weightlifting event the NBWA has established the following Refund Policy for its sanctioned meets.
- NBWA will NOT refund Race Roster processing fees.
- NBWA will NOT refund your entry fee BUT will allow transfers to another lifter up to 2 weeks before the close of registration.
- NBWA will NOT allow late registrations.
Coaches:
To manage warm-up area, NBWA has implemented coaching policies.
- Coaches must register at the head table upon arrival at the meet with the Meet Director Greg Doucette.
- Coaches must meet the following minimum requirements. (Weightlifting Competition Introduction Coach in Training or greater or have a Cross Fit Level 1 Coaches Certificate or greater.)
- NOTE: If you are participating as an athlete and also a coach you must register as a Coach with the Meet Director as well.
NBWA Covid19 Meet Protocols 2020 - Version #1 6/17/2020
- The Verification of entries will be completed and posted on Facebook.
- Emails the day prior to meet indicating a body weight category change and thus avoiding a Technical Meeting.
- We will schedule preferably no more than 5 to 6 lifters per session with 5 - 6 warm up platforms available per competition. (each athlete their own platform and weights).
- Athletes will be required to wash their hands before the start of their session or use a super-sized pump bottle of sanitizer to clean hands prior to beginning their warm-up or during warm-up.
- The athlete and coach will be required to clean their warm-up area and equipment after their session with appropriate disposable supplies.
- The competition bar will be cleaned after every lift during the meet and as required per Technical Officials request.
- Only 1 coach per warm-up platform will be allowed per competing athlete in the warm-up room.
- All lifters will be required to bring their own chalk. Chalk boxes will not be available.
- All Technical Officials will wear masks and gloves during weigh in and the lifting session when their social distance cannot be guaranteed – while sitting at ref desks, but the TC wanders around so a mask all the time.
- Athletes must wear a mask during weigh in, are not required to wear masks while lifting but are strongly encouraged to wear them at other times.
- Social Distancing will be enforced everywhere in the venue.
- Loaders will wear masks and gloves.
- There will be no introductions of athletes (you still have a 10 minute clock).
- There will be no food service or communal water for the event.
- There will be no spectators other than lifters who are not in a session and their coaches.
These guidelines are following those set forth by NBWA in response to COVID 19. These are all subject to change if the situation changes.
