Tacky Sweater 5K
Plum Point Park in the Chelsea District

On Saturday December 5th at Plum Point Park, you and your family/friends can start your Tacky Sweater 5k ANYTIME from 9:00am to 11:30am and follow our course along the Elizabeth River Trail to Jeff Robertson Park and back. Participants may also elect to run from anywhere and post their virtual results. New this year, we ask that you post photos of your Tacky Sweater while at the event on our Tacky Sweater Facebook page for a virtual vote. The best Female and Male winners get the coveted bottle of Eggnog adorned in a tacky sweater, we also ask that you tag your photo with #tackysweater5k #mettleevents #liveloveruntacky. The net proceeds will be donated to EVMS Department of Dermatology for Melanoma Education and Awareness in remembrance of Mary "Diddie" Ossi, my BFDO. Each registered runner/walker will receive a long sleeve cotton t-shirt and a custom Tacky Sweater finisher medal. In person or virtual, please support our event.

5K Run/Walk On Site Closed
Show up at Plum Point Park anytime on December 5 between 8:00 and 11:30 AM, pick up your bib and run a timed socially distance 5K on the Elizabeth River Trail to Jeff Robertson Park and back. Starting line open from 9-11:30 AM. Finish line open from 9AM-12:30PM.
