Our Story...
Hi Friends!!! This May our family will be participating in the Sporting Life 10 K run/walk in support of Camp Ooch. Because of COVID restrictions this event will take place anywhere we want during the timeframe of May 9-May30. We haven't picked a date yet but when we do we will be sure to share our experience.
We are so grateful for this organization as they brought so many smiles to our faces during the times we were so vulnerable and scared in the hospital. Their volunteers would come to Trenton's bedside with crafts, perform magic tricks or even just sit and talk for hours with us. Last Summer the kids participated in camp at home virtually. Camp Ooch and Camp Trillium made that happen because they knew how much our kids needed to connect during these times of isolation. Our whole family is looking forward to the day we can attend Camp and meet more of these wonderful people who have filled our lives with some happiness.

A diagnosis of childhood cancer changes life in an instant.
For affected kids and families, it can suddenly feel like everything is about cancer. Camp Ooch offers a hopeful journey, where kids with cancer can just be kids, and families connect with a community of strength and support when they need it the most.
They are much more than a summer camp—they offer the social cure for childhood cancer. Their camp-inspired programs deliver fun, friendship, and community to 1,900 kids and 745 families year-round, all across Ontario. As a response to COVID-19, virtual camp and in-hospital programs continue to reach kids and families living in isolation, wherever they are.
