Our Story...
Over the years, my family and I have taken part in the annual Sporting Life 10km run in Toronto to raise funds for Camp Oochigaes, a place where kids battling cancer can safely attend summer camp like a normal kid.
2021 is a particularly special year for us, as we celebrate my 15th year of being cancer free! In celebration of this milestone, we are inviting our friends to join our team, #TEAM15, with the hopes of raising a collective $1,500 for Camp Ooch, which will go towards three months of virtual camp.
Although we can't all run together down Yonge St. the virtual race provides an opportunity for friends around the world to get involved, so please register to race, donate what you can, and get running!

A diagnosis of childhood cancer changes life in an instant.
For affected kids and families, it can suddenly feel like everything is about cancer. Camp Ooch offers a hopeful journey, where kids with cancer can just be kids, and families connect with a community of strength and support when they need it the most.
They are much more than a summer camp—they offer the social cure for childhood cancer. Their camp-inspired programs deliver fun, friendship, and community to 1,900 kids and 745 families year-round, all across Ontario. As a response to COVID-19, virtual camp and in-hospital programs continue to reach kids and families living in isolation, wherever they are.
