My Story…
I am running my second marathon on Sept. 19th! I have been training since May 16th but wasn’t sure until now that I would be able to complete it because of time commitments. Now, I’m sure that it will happen so am starting my fundraising for MADD Canada and am dedicating this marathon to my friend, Marj Classen and her husband, Gord.
Marj and Gord Classen were killed by an impaired driver on January 23, 2020 just outside of Saskatoon. Their lives were cut short by a man who made the decision to drive impaired. I think of Marj and Gord often and want to do something in their memory to help raise awareness against drunk driving.
MADD Canada’s mission statement is to stop impaired driving and to support victims of this violent crime. Please join me by making a donation to MADD.
