My Story…
This is my first marathon. The fact that I'm doing this has a lot of personal meaning to me as I never expected to even attempt something like this. But, I also recently lost my dad who was one of the most important people to me. We were a baseball family and my dad was always heavily involved with the teams and leagues that we participated in. When I was very young he helped organize a 'Special Olympics' at the fields where we played. It was amazing and is a memory I'll hold onto forever. Dad was a great man. He accepted everyone for who they were. He believed everyone deserves a chance... or a second chance. He demonstrated that philosophy in a way that made it look so simple and I admired that. He loved being involved with baseball and I think that event was something he was most proud of. He truly thought everyone should have a chance to play ball.
That's why I chose the Miracle League as a charity to raise funds for. Please help me support a great cause!
