I'm Sher and I love to walk.
Two years ago, after 22 days in the hospital, I couldn't walk. But after months of physical therapy and perseverance, I'm back at it.
Last year I walked in the Run to Feed the Hungry, mostly because I was so thankful that I could. I pushed my 15 mos old foster grandson in a stroller, and at the end I excitedly explained (more like exclaimed) to him that he had just completed his first 5k! He definitely was not as excited as I was.
I'm doing it again this year, because I'm thankful I can, and because it benefits something so much bigger than me.
If you'd like to join in you can donate on this page OR if you could register to participate here and push your own stroller, walk a dog, or stop to feed the horses (shout-out to my Chico walking buddies).
Thank you for whatever you do!
And if you're part of my Chico friend base and support Run for Food, thank you too!
Also a nod to anyone who lives w/Ehlers Danlos Syndrome or with someone who has it.
