* 33rd Annual - Oldest and Largest Run/Walk held on the West Bank
10K, 5K and 1/2 Mile Kids Run/Walk - Live on the Ground event..
( event also offers registration for 5K or 10K Virtual Division )
Event highlights include:
* Course all inside the State Park ( Well maintained paved park roads )
* Custom finisher medallions all three distances
* Benefiting the Westwego Beautification Commission
* Crescent City Classic 10K Seeding Qualifier event
General Event Details:
LOCATION: Bayou Segnette State Park, 7777 Westbank Expressway, Westwego, La. 70094
( Entrance is at intersection of Westbank Expressway and DRAKE Avenue ) * Entrance is NOT at Segnette Blvd.
Race site inside park is at the Wave Pool complex. Plenty of free parking at the large Wave Pool lot
* Please observe posted speed limits while inside the park.
TIME: * NOTE New separate Start times for 5K and 10K
7:00 am - Race Day Registration and Packet Pickup opens on site
8:00 am - Start of Kid's 1/2 Mile
8:15 am - Start of 10K Run/Walk
8:20 am - Start of 5K Run/Walk
Please wear facemask until you are starting the run/walk
Entry fees:
5K & 10K General Registration: $25.00 by December 6th , 30.00 by January 16th, $35.00 on the day of race
5K & 10K Youth ( Age 17-under ) and Seniors ( Age 65-over ) : Receive $5.00 discount on registration
1/2 Mile Kid's Dash: $20.00 ( Age 14-under ) thru the day of race
Virtual Division for 5K or 10K: $35.00 ( entry fee includes shipping of T-Shirt, Bib, Finisher medallion ) *Deadline for Virtual division is January 17th
*Packets for Virtual entrants are mailed out to address listed on your registration page. Mailout will go out couple days after the race date.
Proof of age may be required at packet pickup / registration kiosk
ONLINE Registration will close at 10:30 pm on Sunday, January 17th

1/2 Mile: Finisher medallions presented to all finishers age 17 and under
Race Walkers 5K & 10K: 1st, 2nd, 3rd Overall male and female * If competing in the official race walker division, please denote when in registration platform ( see custom question provided )

Headphones / Ear Gear Policy: NORSI - NOLArunning.com requests that each participant refrain from wearing any device that will limit their ability to hear instructions, directions from officials during the event.
CHIP TIMED EVENT: The race number bib issued to each entrant has a timing chip attached to the back side of. Please do not remove or bend. Please wear the race number bib on FRONT only able to race officials. There are separate race number bibs issued for the 5K and for the 10K. Please make sure you receive and are wearing the correct bib. * IF picking up bibs for others are packet pickup please check the NAME LABEL on back of each bib to distribute the correct bib assigned.

Covid Pandemic safety information - Run/Walk on the Bayou , January 23, 2021
NOTE: Information as per government protocols and information as applied to the date of this event.
NORSI/NOLArunning.com encourages all entrants and spectators to consider the following:
- Wear a face mask when at race site except during the time that you are participating in the run/walk on the course.
- Observe social distance ( 6 feet separation ) and be respectful of others as well as let others know if not using proper social distance as required on date of event.
- Before you leave to attend the event, should you feel ill and/or run a fever please consider staying home
- Do not congregate in groups of more than 10
- Pre-race day packet pickup ( see details posted on registration page ) is encouraged to minimize day of race packet pickup crowding. Registration will be available at pre-race packet pickup locations to minimize day of race registration crowding.
- Do not gather at the start area until near the posted start time. Pending COVID status we may start in grids.
- Upon completion, please put your mask back on and continue to the post race festivities area.
- For your own safety consider bringing your own water bottle, hand sanitizer.
NORSI / NOLArunning.com staff and volunteers will be wearing masks and if distributing any food / beverage items will be wearing gloves
Water stations on course will be stocked with bottled water and water in cups ( you decide ) all volunteers will be wearing masks and gloves at each station. Please use trash containers placed near each station ( Keep your course clean )
