Help Joshua raise money

I have decided to run again to raise money for pancreatic cancer research. Two years ago, I participated in this run. I selfishly did it thinking maybe this will somehow help to save or extend my mom’s life.

When I made the original post 2 years ago, I explained the dangers of this cancer. Never would I have expected that my mom would pass less than 2 years since being diagnosed.

My mom was an extremely healthy person. She never drank, never smoked, and was physically active every day. She tried to fight this disease. She battled through 4 different chemo treatments and still, she passed away less than 2 years since being diagnosed.

Two years ago, I ran to try and save my mom. This year, I run to try and save even just one person to allow them to experience all the things that my mom will miss out on. Like seeing her children grow up, watch them get married, experience the gift of a grandchild, enjoy retirement by the dock and just be able to enjoy all that life has to offer.

With this type of cancer, the chance of surviving 5 years after diagnosis is only around 8%, which is one of the lowest survival rates of any type of cancer. There is so much more research that needs to be done to improve this statistic.

No person as healthy as my mom should have their life taken in less than 2 short years. That is why any donations would be greatly appreciated to help make sure this is not the reality for anyone else.
